The various themed rooms of the Historium Story give an impression of life in the 15th century with magnificent backdrops, film, music and special effects. The visitors experience a love story, based on Jan Van Eyck’s painting ‘Virgin and Child withCanon van der Paele', and experience a magical exploration for all senses.

One seamless immersion

Situated inside a historical building on Bruges´ market square, the Historium established itself as a must-see for tourists visiting the small yet famous medieval city. The innovative idea of this project was to not educate about the middle ages in a broader sense, but to immerse the visitors into a story that is told across 8 rooms via multiple screens and projections integrated into the scenery, as well as audio guides in 10 languages.

SCOPE OF WORK

The owners and investors turned to us for design & project management services for a high stakes historical attraction project. We delivered the complete design package from the first sketches to the final, highly detailed 3D visualisations, managed the complete project from design through implementation, did the complete site art direction and media integration. The media content in this case was delivered by others.
