A THRILLING INTERACTIVE DARK RIDE EXPERIENCE


In cooperation with Alterface Belgium S.A. Clostermann design developed a new concept for an interactive ride - the dark ride in a room. The visitors sit on a large turning platform, in custom made 4D effects seats and interact with 3 different screens, switching between 3 different scenarios that change during the rides duration. The screens also interact with the room´s physical decor, as creatures and ghosts from the screen make their appearance inside the physical space. The innovative concept was first created as a fully functional scale model that displayed all effects, down to the moving figures and functioning screens in miniature format and presented at IAAPA Orlando. The ride was subsequently sold twice, once to Branson Missouri and to Norway (Tusenfryd park) .

SCOPE OF WORK

Starting with the design, story collaboration, over building the functional scale model, to creating special FX for the media, and finally the complete fabrication of all physical equipment,“The house” was a true creative journey.
